Do you know that Denver was the first western city to host the Democratic National Convention?

Meeting west of the Mississippi for the first time in 1908, the Democrats held their national convention in Denver and selected William Jennings Bryan as their candidate who proved to be a loser. Denver would host the Democratic National Convention again, a century later, in 2008 when Barack Obama was nominated.
