You may have heard about the future home of Denver’s new professional women’s soccer team - Denver Summit FC. It will be built on the site of the former Gates Rubber Company near I-25 and Broadway where the Gates Rubber Company operated for decades.

Do you know that the Gates Rubber Company was founded in 1911 by brothers Charles and John Gates? Thanks to John’s invention of the V-belt and Charles’ business genius, the firm became a nationally notable manufacturer of V-belts, hoses and rubber tires.
